Welcome to the Stars Hockey Program for all players with birth years from 2010-2015. Here you will find all your details related to Fall 2024/25 Tryouts, Season Fees, and Payment Options.

Glenview Stars Tryouts for the Fall Season of 2024-2025 consist of four conditioning clinics and tryouts. Please see below for specific dates for Squirt, PeeWee, and Bantams. Teams will be decided shortly following tryouts and rosters posted online. All players are required to have a USA Hockey Number in order to register.

If you plan to tryout for a Central States team and do not make the team, you will attend a NIHL tryout but will only pay one tryout fee. Teams can be formed any time after the first tryout.

All tryouts are completed, teams are formed, and all offers have been sent to players. Good luck in the 24/25 season!

We continue to offer competitive travel hockey season fees to our families. Your season fees include: all ice time for player practices, goalie clinic weekly instruction with GDI USA, skills training with Nelly of Above & Beyond Hockey Development, Scott of Herbster Hockey and Karim Corringham of Hyperfit Hockey, dryland training sessions with Tactic (Peewees, Bantams, U12, U14, U16 and U19), stickhandling, shooting and dryland training at GCIC (Mites, Squirts and U10), league games for the Hockey 2024-2025 fall/winter season, coach salaries, one ticket to a Chicago Blackhawks game (tentatively scheduled for October 11, 2024), presale access to Chicago Blackhawks tickets, and a Chicago Blackhawks item.

We are pleased to be able to continue to offer need-based partial or full scholarships. More information on the application process will be forthcoming. Volunteerism is required for families receiving scholarships. Families with more than one player and no other fee discounts will receive a discount of $225.00 off the total of one player’s fees. Families with three players in the program will receive 50% off the lowest player fee. This discount excludes dual-rostered girls and part-time girls’ teams.

Tryout Registration fee payment must be made online at the time of registration. Once you've made a team, an offer will be sent to you via Crossbar to secure your roster spot. There are two payment options for remaining participation fees: full payment or three post-dated payments – See below. *We no longer accept checks (ACH option below), cash, money orders, cashier’s checks or Zelle as payment methods. Everyone is required to register online using the Glenview Stars Crossbar platform. You then have the option of how to pay the fees via the Crossbar platform.

● Option #1: One-time payment via ACH (no processing fee) or credit card (plus a processing fee). One-time payment method is due immediately upon commitment to secure your player’s spot on the team roster.

● Option #2: Four-payment plan using ACH (no processing fee) or a credit card (plus a processing fee. The season fees are divided into four (4) equal payments are due: (1) immediately upon commitment to secure your player’s spot on the team roster, (2) 10/1/24, (3) 11/1/24, and (4) 12/1/24.

Any funds due and not timely paid will result in a player being benched until the payment is made, after a one-time reminder. This will be strictly enforced for the 2024-2025 season. If any season fees remain unpaid at the end of the season, Glenview Stars will make a report to AHAI, and the player will not be allowed to participate on any AHAI sanctioned team until the amount due has been paid in full.

When are rosters announced?

Rosters will be posted online shortly after the completion of tryouts.

When will I need to register my player for the Fall 2024-2025 Season?

After you player has been named to a roster following tryouts, an offer will be sent to you to register your player for the full season.

When does my player get fitted for uniforms?

First fitting dates is July 21, 2024. Beginning with the 2024-2025 season, we are excited to announce that we will be partnering with Tidal Wave Sports for our custom jerseys and uniform. The material, design and logos are unchanged, so if your player’s uniform still fits from last season, there is nothing you need to do – you are all set! If, however, your player is moving up from Mite to Squirt, is new to the club, or outgrew their old gear, you will need a new uniform package.

My player is a Jr. Star, does this FAQ apply to them? 

No. Jr. Stars players will continue to order their jerseys through Offensive Zone (in the rink).

My player is a Star, what will the uniform be for the 2024-2025 season? 

Sublimated Home Jersey, Sublimated Away Jersey, Sublimated Alternative Rival Black Jersey, Sublimated Home Socks, Sublimated Away Socks, Sublimated Alternative Socks, Shell, Hoodie and Jogger Pants and Beanie. If you are moving up from Mite to Squirt, new to the program or your player outgrew their old gear, you will order your uniform through Tidal Wave Sports via our online store. 

What is the cost of the Player Package? The total cost of the player package is unchanged from the 2023-2024 season and will be $450.00.

Can I order any of these items a la carte? Yes, a la carte purchasing will be available. For example, your player only needs a new hoodie and jogger because they outgrew the one from last season.

Is the uniform mandatory for the 2024-2025 season? Yes, players are required to wear the uniforms from Tidal Wave Sports or Hockey Militia (if from a prior season).

Where can my player get fitted and place their order? Fittings for RETURNING PLAYERS AND GIRLS U14, U16 AND U19 Independent Teams will be at GCIC on July 21, 2024 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM in the Stars Meeting Room (next to North Branch). Additional dates will be held during conditioning clinics/tryouts. Tidal Wave Sports has created a store for our club, and you can place your order from your phone or computer. Players must bring their shoulder pads and hockey pants to the fitting.

What if I miss uniform fitting on July 21, 2024?

There will be additional uniform fittings around the time of tryouts as well.

How long is the Fall 2024-2025 Season?

The season officially begins with Tryouts in August. Glenview Stars compete in the Central States and NIHL Leagues beginning in September and conclude with playoffs in February.

Additionally, each Stars team will compete in tournaments local to Chicago or other locations (Wisconsin, Michigan, etc.), decided by each team.

How do I obtain a USA Hockey Number for my player?

Please visit the USA Hockey website and sign up for a youth athlete membership for the 2024-2025 season. This will be required for tryout and season registration.

My player has made the team but I cannot find the Offer email to accept the position on the team? 

Log into your Crossbar account, click Accounts, click Participants, view Pending Offers sections and click Accept.
