Welcome to the Jr. Stars Hockey Program for players with birth years from 2016 and younger. Here you will find all your details related to Fall 2024/25 Tryouts, Season Fees, and Payment Options.

Jr Stars Tryouts for the Fall Season of 2024-2025 consist of four conditioning clinics and three tryouts running from Wednesday August 18th until Thursday August 22nd. Teams will be decided shortly following tryouts. All Jr Stars Teams play in the Chicago United Hockey League (CUHL). All players are required to have a Youth Athlete AAU Membership number.

All tryouts are completed, teams are formed, and all offers have been sent to players. Good luck in the 24/25 season!

Season Fees

Mite Skater - $3,675

Mite Goalie - $2,575

We continue to offer competitive travel hockey season fees to our families. Your season fees include: all ice time for player practices, goalie clinic weekly instruction with GDI USA, skills training with Nelly of Above & Beyond Hockey Development, Scott of Herbster Hockey and Karim Corringham of Hyperfit Hockey, dryland training sessions with Tactic (Peewees, Bantams, U12, U14, U16 and U19), stickhandling, shooting and dryland training at GCIC (Mites, Squirts and U10), league games for the Hockey 2024-2025 fall/winter season, coach salaries, one ticket to a Chicago Blackhawks game (tentatively scheduled for October 11, 2024), presale access to Chicago Blackhawks tickets, and a Chicago Blackhawks item.


We are pleased to be able to continue to offer need-based partial or full scholarships. More information on the application process will be forthcoming. Volunteerism is required for families receiving scholarships. Families with more than one player and no other fee discounts will receive a discount of $225.00 off the total of one player’s fees. Families with three players in the program will receive 50% off the lowest player fee. This discount excludes dual-rostered girls and part-time girls’ teams.

Payment Options

Tryout Registration fee payment must be made online at the time of registration. Once you've made a team, an offer will be sent to you via Crossbar to secure your roster spot. There are two payment options for remaining participation fees: full payment or three post-dated payments – See below. *We no longer accept checks (ACH option below), cash, money orders, cashier’s checks or Zelle as payment methods. Everyone is required to register online using the Glenview Stars Crossbar platform. You then have the option of how to pay the fees via the Crossbar platform.

● Option #1: One-time payment via ACH (no processing fee) or credit card (plus a processing fee). One-time payment method is due immediately upon commitment to secure your player’s spot on the team roster.

● Option #2: Four-payment plan using ACH (no processing fee) or a credit card (plus a processing fee. The season fees are divided into four (4) equal payments are due: (1) immediately upon commitment to secure your player’s spot on the team roster, (2) 10/1/24, (3) 11/1/24, and (4) 12/1/24.

Any funds due and not timely paid will result in a player being benched until the payment is made, after a one-time reminder. This will be strictly enforced for the 2024-2025 season. If any season fees remain unpaid at the end of the season, Glenview Stars will make a report to AHAI, and the player will not be allowed to participate on any AHAI sanctioned team until the amount due has been paid in full.

When are rosters announced?

Rosters will be posted online shortly after the completion of tryouts.

When will I need to register my player for the Fall 2024-2025 Season?

After you player has been named to a roster following tryouts, an offer will be sent to you to register your player for the full season.

When will I need to choose player number and order jerseys?

If you are a new player to the Jr. Stars, your player number will be decided during Tryouts, your player will be fitted for uniform, warm ups, and orders will be placed during tryouts in the Offensive Zone Shop located inside of Glenview Community Ice Center.

How long is the Fall 2024-2025 Season?

The season officially begins with Tryouts in August. Jr Stars compete in the CUHL League begins with a Seeding Round in September and October, Regular Season running November to mid-February, and playoffs concluding with Championship Sunday on March 2nd, 2025.

Additionally, each Jr. Stars team will compete in tournaments local to Chicago or nearby surrounding areas (Wisconsin, Michigan, etc.), decided by each team.

How do I obtain a Youth Athlete Membership Number for my player?

Please visit the AAU website and sign up for a Youth Athlete membership for the 2024-2025 season.

My player has made the team but I cannot find the Offer email to accept the position on the team? 

Log into your Crossbar account, click Accounts, click Participants, view Pending Offers sections and click Accept.

This registration is for 2016 birth year players or YOUNGER. If you have a 2015 player or older, please use the Stars Tryout - Fall.
